A novel sci-fi drama series “#sunset”, that blends the retro and futuristic in a virtual world, was an official selection at the 8th annual Hip Hop Film Festival in Harlem, NYC. It won Best Sci-Fi award category.
About the Series:
In the Metaverse, a platform shutdown turns into an eternal trap for a long distance couple. Journey and Prince, must race against the clock. They have one week, which is one month in real life to escape before their real lives are lost forever.
Filmed entirely in the metaverse, “#sunset.” offers a suspenseful storyline in a realm where characters navigate between the liberating and controlling aspects of technology. The series, an original creation by Eric “Ty Skyy the DJ” White, explores thrilling narrative where reality and virtuality become indistinguishable.

The series is written, directed, and produced by Eric “Ty Skyy the DJ” White. The cast includes Ehmpryss Selaydia Fiyar, Inati (Paula Itani), Midwest Reese, Gene Love (Major), and Eric “Ty Skyy the DJ” White.

The 8th Annual Hip Hop Film Festival will took place from August 11 to August 20 at the renowned Schomburg Center in Harlem.
